I got my Bachelor’s degree in Mineral Resources Exploration from Chang’an University (Xi’an, Shannxi, China) in 2004. Then I got my Master’s degree in Economic Geology from Chinese Academy of Geological Sciences (Beijing, China) in 2007. I got a job in Institute of Mineral Resources, Chinese Academy of Geological Sciences in Beijing in 2007. In September 2009 I started my PhD study in Chinese Academy of Geological Sciences. Now I am here in the CET in Perth as a visitor for one year.

The project I am doing now is the Jiama Cu, Mo, Au, Ag, Pb and Zn polymetallic skarn-porphyry deposit in Gangdese Miocene porphyry copper metallogeny belt. I have been involved in its exploration and research work since 2008. I came to the CET in order to do the 3D geological model of Jiama and now I have started to use Leapfrog on it. On the other side, I plan to study bornite on its mineralogy, geochemistry, sulfur isotope to understand the genesis of its high concentration in Jiama. Combining the study at the different scales from mineralogy to ore deposit, I am trying to understand the whole metallogeny process of the Jiama large scale deposit to propose suggestions on prospecting in its periphery and its deep areas.
