The Geophysics and Image Analysis Theme’s vision is a Geophysics & Image Analysis Group that makes significant and valued contributions to improve efficiency, accuracy and consistency in the use of data for the mining and exploration industry and other geoscientific communities, that is recognised worldwide in industry and academia. The Geophysics and Image Analysis Theme Leaders are Winthrop Professor Mike Dentith and Research Associate Professor Eun-Jung Holden.
This vision will be achieved by developing a world recognised research group applied to geoscientific problems, which:
- demonstrates initiative and innovation;
- delivers value growth opportunities for stake holders.
The objective is to maximise human intuition and minimise human biases in geoscientific data analysis though computer aided interpretation and computer field technology.
