About
Beatriz is a geologist with experience in Cu‑Au, Au, and Fe exploration across Brazil. She earned her B.Sc. in Geology from the University of Brasilia in 2019 and completed her M.Sc. in 2024, focusing on the geochemical footprint of gold mineralization at the Jacobina deposit (Bahia, Brazil). She has worked with Yamana Gold and Vale, developing strong skills in geological mapping, underground and open‑pit work, drilling planning, geological modelling, and target evaluation for deposit expansion and resource conversion.
PhD Project
Beatriz has now joined the Centre for Exploration Targeting at the University of Western Australia as a PhD candidate. Her research is part of the Yilgarn 2030 project and is under the supervision of Dr Quentin Masurel and Professor Nicolas Thebaud. The research aims to deliver a camp-scale, robust geological framework to improve multiscale structural targeting for gold resource discovery.
