About
Gabriel completed his Bachelor of Geology at the Federal University of Bahia in 2019. He then began his career as an exploration geologist working across gold projects with Yamana Gold, Pan American Silver and Jaguar Mining, gaining broad experience in greenfield and brownfield exploration environments. His work spanned core logging, drill‑programme planning, geological mapping and target generation in structurally complex terrains. In 2024, he completed his master’s degree at the University of Brasília, applying a multiscale analysis to investigate the controls on the formation of high‑grade gold shoots within the Jacobina deposit in Bahia, Brazil.
PhD Project
Gabriel has joined the Centre for Exploration Targeting as a PhD candidate in the Yilgarn 2030 project, under the supervision of Dr. Quentin Masurel and Dr. Nico Thebaud. His research will involve analysis of the gold mineralisation footprints at the northeast Yilgarn Craton to improve multiscale structural targeting for gold resource discovery.
