About
Simon completed both his undergraduate degree and Honours degree at the University of Western Australia. His Honours research was focused on the Iberian Pyrite Belt, where he investigated anomalous Cu mineralisation in post-mineralisation flysch.
PhD Project
Simon joined the CET in March 2026 as a PhD student within the Yilgarn 2030 project, under the supervision of Nicolas Thebaud and Quentin Masurel. His research is focused on the Boulder Lefroy Corridor and its 4D evolution through time and space and its influence on gold mineralisation. He is incredibly excited to start his journey and continue learning everything about geology.
