About

Paul Duuring is a Senior Geologist in Mineral Systems at the Geological Survey of Western Australian (GSWA). After completing his PhD degree in Economic Geology at UWA in 2002, Paul has worked as a researcher at Monash University (Melbourne), University of British Columbia (Canada), Pukyong National University (South Korea), and the Centre for Exploration Targeting, before joining GSWA in 2016. His main interest is the study of ore deposits, including their genesis and modification. This theme has been applied to deposit- to district-scale studies on orogenic and intrusion-related Au, komatiite-hosted nickel, porphyry Cu-Au, epithermal Au-Ag, hypogene/supergene Fe ore, manganese, pegmatite-hosted critical minerals, and volcanic-hosted massive sulphide deposits.
