About
Paul Greenwood is an environmental and organic geochemist. He studies the molecular distributions and compound specific stable isotopic values of organic matter in geological sediments, soils and water. He received his PhD from UNSW (1993), where he studied coal characterisation and the generation of fullerenes from coal using laser mass spectrometry. Following research positions at CSIRO-Petroleum (sydney, Pennsylvania State University (USA), Warwick University (UK); Geoscience Australia (Canberra) and Curtin University (Perth), Paul joined UWA in 2006 as an academic research scientist held through to 2018, and has since continued to support various research and teaching activities in the School of Earth Sciences through a UWA adjunct.
