CET’s Dr Daniel Wiemer and Prof Steffen Hagemann secured funds from the Peruvian Compañia Minera Poderosa for a project entitled “Multi-Scale Gold Exploration and Prospect Analysis in the Eastern Andean Cordillera of Peru”, which will be conducted between June 2022 to 2024.
Daniel and Steffen are set to explore the most remote north-eastern parts of the Peruvian Andes, seeking to understand the inheritance of ancient Gondwana lithosphere-scale structures in controlling the localization of gold deposit clusters.
